Black Tea (Coming Soon)

What happens when you take fresh tea leaves, roast ‘em in heat and leave them to oxidize and dry? You have yourself some bitter, powerful, caffeinated stuff. If coffee is “black magic”, then this is “dark wizardry”.

And after rigorous sampling of black tea across multiple sources, we’ve narrowed it down and saved you the hassle of finding something worthy as your daily cuppa.

Be it with lemon, honey, milk, sugar, or a combination of all of the above, it’s no wonder High Tea and Afternoon Tea use this as their drink of choice.

Brewing Tips

For this tea, we recommend putting 1 Tablespoon of Tea for every 2 cups (or 16 fluid ounces) of boiled, filtered water. Use boiling water around 208°F / 98°C to draw out the best flavor. Depending on your strength preference, steep between 3 to 5 minutes. Strain the leaves and serve hot, sweetened, or un-sweetened. Goes great with lemon or milk too!

Each unit contains 30g, or 1 ounce of plain, quality Tea. Serving sizes can change according to how much Tea is used for each cup or pot.

Whenever possible, we'd like to show our appreciation to the farmers who grow, pick, and process the Tea for our blends. For our Black Tea, we'd especially like to thank the following grower, and showcase some basic information about where the Tea comes from:

Grower: Neelamalai Organics
Tea Maker: Murali Subramanian
Origin: Nilgiri Mountains - Nilgiris District, India
Elevation: 2,000m (6,800ft)
